Meeta is one of the most well-developed characters in recent memory. Things get complicated for the groom when Karishma asks Nikhil to look after her loony sister and keep her away from the wedding. Inside, he immediately falls in love with the first pretty woman he sees, a model named Karishma (Adah Sharma).įast-forward seven years, and Nikhil is hoping to finally do something right in Karishma’s eyes by marrying her. In 2006, she flees from her sister’s wedding with the aid of stranger with a Rick Springfield coiffure, Nikhil (Sidharth Malhotra). The tomboy at the heart of the film is Meeta (Parineeti Chopra), a clever, socially awkward young woman who stands out from her sisters because of her Harry Potter hairdo. The tomboy reigns supreme in Hasee Toh Phasee (“ She Smiles, She’s Snared“). And he just roams around acting modest. Finally, a movie in which the nerdy girl wins the hero’s heart without having to undergo a glamorous makeover. For Sid it’s just the opposite, even on set. Drink a lot of water, moisturise your face well, be happy from the inside, eat only home-cooked meals and refrain from anything that could potentially make you unhealthy. Parineeti Chopra:: First, sleep well for at least eight hours a day. So I want this to continue, as it’s making me feel so lively! But yes, now I can see that people are commenting that I look better these days. I have to work so hard that I don’t have time to sit at home and eat a lot of food. Parineeti Chopra:: See, I am losing weight because I have become very busy in life. It was quite technical to play this role.

I had to undergo workshops and it took me about 15-20 days to be absolutely ready before going to the set to shoot. The only thing I could draw upon was the energy I have in my life and what was required of my character in the film. I had to do a lot of acting in ‘Hasee Toh Phasee’. Q: How much similarity is there between your real life character and real life character in the film? There is a big surprise for the audience. And I can assure you that when you see the film you will get to know a whole world of madness that’s what the film is all about. Parineeti Chopra: Absolutely, there was a great creative team of talented make-up artists behind us and they have worked so hard to make me look stunning in front of the camera. Q: You have experimented with your look in ‘Hasee Toh Phasee’.
